Eryney Marrogi

My name is Eryney Marrogi (pronounced Aaron-A Mawr-oh-ghee). I’m a fourth year medical student at the University of Vermont. I’ve previously been a scientist involved in engineering of mosquitoes to eradicate malaria in the Church lab at Harvard, viral capsids for gene therapy at Dyno Therapeutics, and new continuous monitoring wearables at Caltech. Though I’ve bounced around to different fields, these days I’m thinking a lot about how to apply AI to advance biotechnological discovery.

I’ve found it easiest to work with friends. I attribute all my successes to seeking opportunities to work with those I respect most.

Along the way I’ve written for various outlets, including Asimov Press, Core Memory and also keep a personal blog, Bio Stuff.

In case you are curious, I am of Iraqi descent through my dad, and Ukrainian descent through my mom, hence the unique name.
